You can opt in for a chance of a beta invitation. Skyborne Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection purchases include beta access. The beta runs through October 21, 2026; launch access is included with a WoW subscription or Game Time.
Which route gives access?
Optional upgrades add benefits such as the Skyborne race. You do not need one of these upgrades simply to play Forever with an active subscription at launch. Prices vary by shop region and currency; use the official shop for your account’s current amount.
| Route | Beta access | Launch access |
|---|---|---|
| Free opt-in | Only if selected for an invitation | WoW subscription or Game Time required. |
| Skyborne Heroic Pack | Beta is not listed as a benefit | Skyborne and other upgrade benefits; subscription or Game Time still required. |
| Skyborne Epic Pack / Warcraft Forever Collection | Included during the testing window | Includes 30 days of Game Time added at launch. |
Install through Battle.net
If the beta option is absent, an opt-in alone does not prove that your account has an invitation. Check the game licenses in your Battle.net account. Avoid downloading a client from an invitation email’s unfamiliar link.
- Open and update the Battle.net desktop app, then select World of Warcraft.
- In Game Version, select World of Warcraft: Forever Beta under In Development.
- Install the client, press Play, and choose an available test realm.
- If a recently purchased eligible pack has not appeared, Blizzard says access may take up to 30 minutes; restart the launcher and verify the account license.
Launch friend codes and beta are different entitlements
Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes cover eligible invitees during November 4–11. The upgrade announcement says those codes do not grant beta access. Check the recipient restrictions in Blizzard’s linked support article before relying on a code.
