October 8: beta development notes
City of Dalaran becomes available for testing. Dungeon creature-kill experience rises by approximately 20%, and group experience calculations receive a correction. Legacy testing grants 16 points to beta players. This is a selected summary, not the complete changelog.
October 7: class deep dives
Blizzard published Mage/Shaman and Rogue/Warlock deep dives. These explain design changes; they are separate from the subsequent development-note changelog. Class pages link each announced change to its source.
