WoW Forever cost, subscription and upgrade editions

Find the minimum cost to play at launch, what optional packs add, which editions include beta access, and where to check your regional shop price.

Quick answer

WoW Forever access at launch is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. Optional Skyborne editions add race, beta or cosmetic benefits; they are not required for the base Forever game.

What is the minimum purchase?

If you already have an active WoW subscription or Game Time, Blizzard says that covers Forever access when the game launches. If you do not, buy subscription time or Game Time for your Battle.net account. The base game does not require an optional Forever upgrade pack.

An invitation to the beta is a separate account entitlement. Opting in costs nothing, but it is only a chance to be selected. Do not buy a pack solely for launch access if its extra benefits do not matter to you.

What do the optional editions add?

The Epic Pack and Collection's 30 days of Game Time begin at launch. Continued play afterward requires a subscription or more Game Time. Edition contents and availability can change; inspect the official shop before purchasing.

Check the price for your account region

The amount charged depends on your Battle.net region, currency, tax and current store listing. This page does not display a single universal price or silently convert another region's price. Open the official shop while signed into the account you intend to use.
